Comics on the big screen

As you all know, comics have made their way onto the big screen.  In this day and age, we get to seesuperheroes such as X-men, Spiderman, Daredevil, Elektra, Superman, The Fantastic Four, Batman, Ironman, and, coming up next, The Incredible Hulk (Then again, it’s been done once before).  These movies have even inspired a movie in the same category as the Scary Movie series (Superhero Movie) and an interesting looking movie featuring a homeless superhero (“Hancock” starring Will Smith).  Some of these movies have been really good, some really bad, but they have all made a point to bring back the heroes from the earlier days.  Personally, I enjoy them.  They bring the Hollywood treatment to characters that many people recognize, which I believe helps bring them to life.  However, some of these movies did not do as well.

What are you opinions on movies based off of comics?

comic books are a natural. Storyboards are done, visual are decided, and most important there is a huge built in following. I thin Hankock will do well on openng but never reach icon status like spiderman because it is an original screen play that has been in development for 14 years…well the original sam hamm batman tool that long (can you believe it? seems like no brainer) There is such a vast library of superheros that I do not see an end in site…and I too look forward to all of them. and I am a novice animator. I did a 2 minute short called Dark Knight: The Last Laugh. I used the vocal talents of AL Pacino as the Dark Knight and Robert DeNiro as the Joker, it comes from the infamous scene in Heat.It took countless days to finish, but it is my proudest pieces, I hope you enjoy it enough to share it on your blog.
